Welcome to the registration page for the College’s Fall Community Day of service.
Classes are canceled during the day on the Duluth campus but learning and service continues.

  • DIGNITAS STUDENTS ARE NOT to sign up here; go to your Dignitas instructor for Community Day information
  • For individual sign-up, click on the listing to go to the registration page for that job. Note that the times listed at each job site will vary. This page shows the number remaining volunteer slots.
  • After you sign up, watch for an email from your group leader. It will tell you details about the send-off for the day, and your group’s meeting and travel plans.
  • Stop by the ground floor of the student union from 8:30–9:30 for breakfast items and a send off!
  • Share your experiences by hashtagging your photo #saintsinaction, prizes for best tagged pictures.

American Red Cross 5 9:00 to 2:30 Screening, sorting & bundling Holiday Mail for Heroes cards for local members and veterans.
Benedictine Health Center 6 1:00 to 4:00 Helping with activities, cleaning garden & help in Pre-school.
Challenge Center, Inc. 5 10:00 to 2:00 Put up posters in town & mail flyers to advertise the 35th Annual Meatball Special Olympics Dinner.
Chris Jensen 6 10:00 to 3:30 Assisting with daily activities, socializing with residents. Possibly baking, crafts or games.
CSS Biology Dept. 12 10:00 to 12:00 Pulling buckthorn on campus.
CSS Garden Committee 10 9:30 to 11:30 Prepare gardens for winter.
Damiano Center 5 10:30 to 1:00 Cleaning and sorting clothing.
Duluth Art Institute 12 9:30 to 3:00 Cleaning, wiping down shelves: involves ladder work, & moving/lifting 25 lbs. or more; washing windows (inside); possiblycutting & loading brush, if weather permits.
Duluth Children's Museum 10 10:00 to 2:00 Help building & moving exhibits.
Parks & Rec: Duluth Dog Park 10 1:00 to 3:30 Fill in ruts in the newest dog park in Duluth.
Salvation Army 2 9:30 to 2:00 Assist cook with serving lunch cafeteria style; cleaning kitchen/dining room. Could include sweeping/mopping floor in dining room.
Salvation Army 6 9:30 to 2:00 Sort food items, place on shelves or in boxes. Toss dented or expired cans. Break down boxes; general cleaning & organizing.
Second Harvest N. Lakes Food Bank 10 11:00 to 1:00 Clean warehouse and grounds.
St. Scholastica Monastery 12 9:30 to 11:30 Clean the chapel.
Valley Youth Center 6 12:00 to 4:00 Garden box winter preparation; pick remaining produce, pull plants, cover boxes.
Western Lake Superior Habitat for Humanity 6 9:30 to 2:30 Work with homeowner to provide safe entry to her home. We will be busting up old sidewalk with sledgehammers & maddocks, working outside.
YMCA 5 9:30 to 12:30 Clean & organize in office space: boxing files, moving boxes, cleaning spaces.
YMCA 5 3:30 to 5:00 Plant bulbs in front of building (working with kids in the after-school program)
