From: Winston Welch, The World History Association, thewha@hawaii.edu
The WHA will have a symposium in Taiwan on "Taiwan in World History" in
early December 2013. Our host university, the Research Center for
Humanities and Social Sciences, National Chiao Tung University, is offering
to create a visiting professor/resident scholar position to come to the
Research Center and serve as a facilitator for the conference. Ideally,
such a professor would teach one class on Southeast Asia weekly while
conducting research on Taiwan related issues. The Center can pay for
his/her a round trip airfare, plus monthly stipend (based upon his/her
academic rank and resume). The rank could range from Assistant professor to
Emeritus status. The duration of this appointment can be for 3 months, or
one semester, or even one year.
