A Century of Saints

Daniel Pilon

Daniel PilonDaniel Pilon's long tenure as president (1981-1998) was a period of significant expansion at the College, both in terms of building and in an increase in student enrollment. To accomodate the influx of students, Maple, Birch, and Willow apartments were built and Somers Hall and the Science building were expanded. The Library and Chapel spaces were switched and renovated in 1986. Mitchell Auditorium was built, greatly enhancing the College's performing arts programs. President Pilon also broadened the College academically, adding the Management program, obtaining accreditation for several graduate programs, and instituting the Encore! program, which helped to diversify the Student population.
