Patrick Schiltz '81



Patrick SchiltzU.S. District Judge Patrick Schiltz's legal career has taken him to the highest levels of American jurisprudence. The Duluth native received his undergraduate degree in history from the College in 1981. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School and was a law clerk for Justice Antonin Scalia of the U.S. Supreme Court. Schiltz is a former law professor at the University of St. Thomas and at the University of Notre Dame, where he was the youngest person ever to win the Faculty Member of the Year award. He serves on the U.S. District Court for Minnesota.
