John F. LaForge
John F. LaForge began his career as a radio announcer in Ironwood, MI, and rose through the ranks to become executive vice president and general manager of KDLH-TV in Duluth. He served as chairman of the Board of Trustees of the College and as a leader of the St. Scholastica Promise fundraising campaign. That role was representative of his extensive community and charitable activity until his death in 1999. He served on the Duluth City Council, as a director of the Minnesota Broadcasters Association, as president of the Duluth Arena Auditorium Advisory Board and president of the Park Point Community Club.
