Larry Goodwin has been president since 1998. He started at the College in 1987 as dean of faculty and was later appointed academic vice president. Among the highlights of his presidency are creation of an accelerated evening program, a strengthening of Catholic Benedictine identity while also increasing diversity, and expansion around Minnesota at campuses in St. Paul, St. Cloud and Rochester. Enhancements of the main campus in Duluth include three new residential buildings, a wellness facility with academic space, and a major addition to the Science Center. During his administration, enrollment has more than doubled and the budget and endowment have more than tripled.
