Sister Monica Laughlin is one of the longest serving faculty members in the College's history. She taught music for 56 years and, post-retirement, remains active in the College's music library as a mentor to music faculty and students. She performed in the Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra, served on the Symphony Board, and directed the Youth Symphony. She served as vice-president of the State Music Education Organization. For 18 years she was on the board of St. Mary's Medical Center and currently serves on its Foundation Board. Music chair LeAnn House says Sister Monica's greatest impact has been upon generations of students: "They truly love her."
