Dr. Peter Bartzen
Dr. Peter Bartzen served on the Board of Trustees from 1971 to 1982, including as chair from 1972 to 1976. He helped lead the Scholastica Adventure capital campaign, which raised $11 million. "These years were a time of significant transition for the College and for the Board of Trustees," noted President Larry Goodwin. "Peter Bartzen's leadership was instrumental in helping the Board assume a new level of responsibility and visionary leadership." In 1992 he was awarded Trustee Emeritus status, the first time the College bestowed the honor. He was an obstetrician for 37 years in Duluth. He died in 2009.
