Scholarship Name: Public Safety Officer's Survivor Grant

Criteria: The Public Safety Officer's Survivor Grant provides an educational benefit to dependent children under age 23 and the spouses of public safety officers killed in the line of duty. Eligibility is determined by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. Applicants must not have earned a baccalaureate degree previously, or been enrolled on a full-time basis for more than 10 semesters, 15 quarters, or the equivalent, and must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate degree or certificate program. The award is equal to the cost of the tuition at the public institution the student is attending or up to the maximum tuition charged at the most costly public school if the student is attending a private institution. The award must not affect a recipient's eligibility for a Minnesota State Grant.
