Several Tibetan monks recently visited St. Scholastica’s campus to create a sand mandala in the student union. The monks worked day and night for seven full days on the sand painting, only to destroy their work in a short ceremony. The monks’ presence on campus was intended to spread awareness about Buddhism as a part of St. Scholastica’s commitment to intercultural studies.
