One of the main ways the Lake Superior Maritime Museum Association raises money for its operations is through their annual fundraiser "The Gales of November," which is dedicated to honoring and recognizing Lake Superior. This past November, two circumnavigators of Lake Superior were invited to host a luncheon and tell of their travels around the Great Lake.
