| April 27 will be a special day for St. Scholastica alumni who love poetry.
On that day Nancy Fitzgerald, Rose Warner Professor of English, invites all St. Scholastica alumni who have taken a poetry class or been published in St. Scholastica’s literary journal, Out of Words, to come and celebrate the publication of her new book, “Poems I Never Wrote,” and to join her in an alumni reading. Festivities will begin in the late afternoon with an open reading of poems by alumni, either written while students at the College or new poems written since graduation. A reunion dinner will follow. In the evening alums will be special guests, joining the community in Somers Hall for an evening of poetry read by selected alumni and by Nancy. Come mingle and muse with those who love words!
