ADEP now in St. Cloud

Vicki Osendorf, director of St. Cloud ADEP.

The College has expanded its successful Accelerated Degree Evening Program to St. Cloud, MN.

Ten students began classes on April 29 at 4150 Second Street South in St. Cloud. That's the site of Resource Training and Solutions, a nonprofit agency with whom the College is partnering.

Vicki Osendorf, director of St. Cloud ADEP, expects to at least double enrollment by fall.

"We're being very well received," she said. "We're getting lots of inquires. Although there are other colleges in this area, not a lot is available in the evenings and that's very attractive for working adults. So the word's spreading."

St. Cloud ADEP offers accelerated bachelor's degree programs in Computer Information Systems and Management. A master's degree in management will be added in the fall or winter.

The ADEP format enables working adults to earn a degree in a reduced amount of time, attending classes only two evenings per week, with weekends free and laptop computers provided at no charge.

Osendorf came to St. Scholastica from St. Cloud Technical College, where she developed and delivered accelerated courses. She holds a master of science degree in Training and Human Resources Development from St. Cloud State University, a bachelor of arts in Social Work from The College of St. Benedict, and is also an alumna of St. Scholastica.

St. Cloud ADEP joins the College's other successful ADEP centers in St. Paul, Brainerd and Duluth.
