This and That
from the Winter 2007 Times magazine

Longtime faculty member Dr. Catherine McPherson '47, formerly Sister Mary William, died Jan. 16 in Duluth at the age of 88. "She served our students of religious studies and philosophy very well for many years,” said President Larry Goodwin, who got to know McPherson in the 1980s. She graduated from Villa Sancta Scholastica high school in 1935 and entered the Benedictine Priory, professing monastic vows in 1940. She served the Benedictine community for over 30 years. She taught at the College until retirement on her 70th birthday in 1985. In 1980 she traveled with Sister Mary Odile Cahoon to select a site for St. Scholastica's Study Center in Ireland.

German-American friendship celebrated.

Alumni and current participants in the College’s exchange program with the University of Leipzig enjoyed a gathering in September.
