Description: The primary purpose of The College of St. Scholastica Cheerleading Squad is to support intercollegiate athletics at CSS. That support is directed into the following fundamental activities: to lead in positive vocal support for the teams at games and on campus, to encourage good sportsmanship, to solicit support for the teams from the CSS community, to create an atmosphere of enthusiasm and excitement at games and events. The CSS Cheerleading Squad will also act as ambassadors of the college and will uphold, reflect and project the goals and values of CSS through volunteerism and community service both on campus and within our greater community. Cheerleading is a year-long club at CSS. Cheerleading tryouts are open to any CSS student and are held in the Spring and the Fall. We cheer at all home games for football, men's hockey and men's basketball, as well as attend the games of other athletic teams in the Benedictine spirit. Practices are 2-3 times per week during the school year, and we take part in other community events and fundraising through the year. Those who may be interested in cheerleading at CSS should contact the advisor.
